Request for Sealed Bids - Sale of Property

The Board of County Commissioners by and for Uinta County, on behalf of Uinta County, Wyoming, will accept sealed bids for the purchase of real property containing 0.383 acres, owned by the County of Uinta, State of Wyoming, known as Lot 1, Block 1 of the Uinta Senior Center Addition, the plat for which is recorded in the Uinta County Clerk’s Office as Document No. 1181642. This structure is commonly known as the Uinta County Memorial Hospital Building. The property will be sold in “as is” condition. Uinta County makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the condition of the property or its suitability for any use or purpose. Interested parties must provide a sealed offer to bid including purchase price (minimum of $332,000.00). A bid bond, irrevocable letter of credit, or cashier’s check for not less than ten (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with all bids. All bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Anyone who submits a bid accepts a Quit Claim Deed and must make payment no later than thirty (30) days from receipt of a Title Commitment showing marketable title in the name of the Uinta County, Wyoming, a local governmental entity. If payment is not received as stipulated the bond shall be forfeited and Uinta County, in its sole discretion, may offer the property to the next highest interested bidder. Sealed bids should be marked “Uinta Memorial Hospital Building Bid” and will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. local time on Friday, February 20, 2026, and read immediately thereafter in the Conference Room at the Uinta County Complex, 225 9^th Street, Evanston, Uinta County, Wyoming. Fax or e-mail submittals will not be accepted. Submittals received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Sealed bids are to be delivered to Uinta County Complex, Attn: Amanda Hutchinson, Uinta County Clerk, 225 9^th Street, Evanston, Uinta County, Wyoming, 82930.  The property shall be sold to the highest responsible bidder; however, Uinta County reserves the right to reject any and all submittals. Uinta County also reserves the right to waive any and all informalities or defects of any bid. In the event title is not marketable the bidder may accept the title as is or withdraw the bid as bidder’s only remedy. Contact Amanda Hutchinson, Uinta County Clerk, at 307-783-0306, for questions. Staff Development Meeting

Effective June 1, 2024, to allow for staff development, the new customer service hours for the Uinta County Clerk and the Uinta County Treasurer's Office will be 8:30AM - 5:00PM Monday through Friday.

Uinta County Economic Development Commission Meeting Schedule

Regular meetings of the commission will be held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 3:00PM with the exception of November and December combined into the first Wednesday in December. Exceptions may be approved by appointees. All members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend. 

Uinta County Planning & Zoning Meeting Schedule

Meeting locations are tentative depending on applications received. Regular meetings of the commission will be held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM with the exception of November and December combined into the first Wednesday in December. All members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.
