Uinta County Mosquito Control
We all know how irritating mosquitoes can be in the summer, at times to the point that you can't enjoy the outdoors, but did you know mosquitoes are considered one of the deadliest animals in the world? They transmit diseases that kill over 1 million people a year worldwide. Learn more about mosquito management's role in protecting public health.
How Uinta County Is Managing Mosquitoes
Due to the risks associated with mosquitoes, we must manage populations through an Integrated Mosquito Management (IMM) program. An IMM program targets mosquitoes at all stages of life through four strategies: surveillance and disease testing, larval control, adult control, and public education. We are proud to partner with Vector Disease Control International (VDCI), an industry leader in mosquito management. Learn more about our partnership with VDCI.
